Maple Mountain Sound

In 1969, Dennis and Virginia Nolet built a Sugar Shack next to a gravel road, tapped 13,600 maple trees, and began building a Maple Syrup Product Empire that would last into the 21st century. In 1979, they commissioned two Master Log Cabin Builders to construct an addition to the Sugar Shack: a 150-seat Pancake House made entirely of raw spruce, hand-hewn and hand-built without the aid of power tools. Measuring 2600 sq ft with a 22 ft peaked ceiling, the former Pancake House remains unchanged after more than forty years.

A true work of art, a labour of love, and an acoustic marvel, it is now the home of Maple Mountain Sound, a studio dedicated to the art of musical creation in a space like no other. Mere words cannot adequately describe it. You’ll have to experience it for yourself.
